Cooking with jazz on the Queensway:

The restaurant that marries food and sound has turned 4 years old.

With literally thousands of restaurants to choose from in the GTA; what is there to separate one from the other? Some have style, some have great food others have music and dance. In this most competitive business, the odds of a restaurant making it past the two year mark are slim to none. However, when they do live on past 1460 days, much is to be celebrated.

Now under new management, MoMo’s Bistro, the restaurant that marries food and sound has turned 4 years old. General Manager, Jesse Topliffe who brings forth his exceptional management and hospitality experience to the table, insists that it is the loyalty of the neighborhood that has kept MoMo’s alive and well. Since opening in 2003, MoMo’s has become a favorite of locals and visitors to their west end location.

With the introduction of their new fall/winter menu, MoMo’s has proven that cozy comfort foods can be stylish and chic while still being hearty and enjoyable. You'll find influences from all over the world with dishes like his pecan crusted black seabass in a frangelico cream sauce, or savory root beer and bourbon braised ribs. There's also a fusion of Cajun and Mediterranean in dishes like the seafood inspired Voodoo pasta. The Fire Roasted steaks with creamy parmesan mashed are creating quite a stir, along with their Roasted Lamb Loin - juicy and tender, like no other.

MoMo’s has found a way to survive as a choice venue, showcasing the GTA’s biggest stars. From Juno Award winners to fresh, young talent, an array of excellent musicians can be found entertaining on MoMo’s intimate stage. As an extra bonus, MoMo’s has just introduced a new baby grand piano to their musical family. “There’s nothing like the feel of a live piano” says Topliffe, “it really warms up a room”. For special corporate and social events, MoMo's comfortably seats up to 30 guests inside its elegant private dining room and 60 in the main bar and dinning area. The restaurant's inviting feelings of warmth and luxuriant comfort, combined with a unique dining experience, help make special occasions even more memorable. Special menus for private functions are available upon request.

With a wine list that covers the globe, funky, fresh martinis and a staff that is known to sing from time to time, MoMo’s has positioned itself as a fun and relaxed approach to fine dining. As the Queensway moves into its renaissance and strikes its name amongst the GTA’s finest, MoMo’s is proud to be a part of the puzzle and looks forward to cooking with jazz for years to come.
